Devils at Capitals
The Capitals win their 6th in a row and are now safely in a playoff spot, 10 points up on the 9th place BJs. Holtby gets the SHUTOUT as he stopped all 25 shots. Blackwood was in net for the Devils and he kept the score respectable as he made 33 saves.
Jets at Hurricanes
Those "bunch of jerks" took the night off and there was no post game on ice stunt. The Jets embarrassed them from start to finish. The Jets had 8 different goal scorers and only 2 players did not register a point, now that's balanced scoring. Brossoit has the Hurricanes number, he was in net back in October when the two teams played in Winnipeg and he was the winning goalie. Watching the highlights, I saw some die hard Thrasher fans in the stands wearing those uniforms.
Wild at Panthers
Both teams played the previous night, the Wild must have not slept or something, they sucked. Dubnyk didn't do his voodoo, he was done after one period by letting 3 goals on 7 shots. Barkov had 5 assists, Huberdeau had 1g, 3a, and the Panthers had their 3rd string rookie goalie in net.Sam Montembeault gets his first career NHL victory in his 2nd game making 25 saves.
Habs at Ducks
The Habs out shot the Ducks in every period, but that didn't matter as Price was in net for all 8 goals. The Ducks had 7 different goal scorers. Gibson played well as he made 35 saves. Talk about a hot rookie, Troy Terry had his second consecutive three-point game! The BJs must be happy with the Habs losing the past 2 games and the Hurricanes losing as well as 9th place Columbus remains 2 points back of Carolina and Montreal.
