If Lindholm is a pumpkin again it's a regression that nice analytics won't solve - he had nice analytics in CAR too.
Yet Lindholm has the best year ppg among the big 4 forwards since everyone came back from the break

There's actually a game tonight? Tropic Thunder was definitely entertaining, especially you never go full ######ed! Hopefully, the Flames won't either done the stretch!

Lindy is the player I’m least worried about at this point.

Lindholm needs to center the top line.

Would like to see this next game:

Gaudreau-Lindholm-Tkachuk
Bennett-Monahan-Czarnik
Frolik-Backlund-Ryan
Mangiapane-Jankowski-Lazar

That team battled every single game in the playoffs, and that lay it all on the line attitude, combined with success, won fan support. The same goes for Vegas, expected to pick top 3, but make the SCF.

We are high in the standings right now, but I cant look at this team seriously and say we are contenders.
Well then that’s absolutely perfect.

Low expectations from fans is precisely what this team needs. So keep having low expectations and just support them at home. It’s the biggest difference fans can make.

So much this. Goaltending is not the problem this year.

In fact, I'd take either of the Flames goalies over 7 of the 8 goalies the Flyers used and abused this year. . .

Bummer game obviously, but we have to remember they are a young team.
Czarnik, Mangiapane, Andersson are playing big minutes.
Goaltending is holding up.
The teams they are playing lately are desperate. Flames aren't.
They are a good team. The season has not been smoke and mirrors.
I feel pretty good about the Flames overall, losing streak aside. Neal back would be a big help, and Andersson more sheltered would help as well, IMO. He seems to be running around out there last two games. He still does good things, but he's pretty raw still.
Bring on Vegas! GFG

Sadly it doesn’t cheer me up. It looks like the Flames trying to skate through the trap.

I’ll be there. I’ve been a fan too long to jump ship now. But seriously the two days off will be nice. Hopefully the team feels the same way.

It seems that right now the only center on our roster that's doing anything is Derek Ryan.
I was at the Vegas game and he looked off. There was a chance late-ish in the third where, with a bit of hustle, he could have created a good chance and he got beat to a puck he could have easily had. That stuck with me for some reason. I hope he isn’t nursing a groin or something.

Having said that, hockey is a cyclical game...this is a good, deep team. I’m not hitting the panic button yet. Frustrated, sure, especially with the TO game but they worked hard in Vegas for the most part and could have won if not for poor officiating and some bad luck.

Not buying it. Pampered millionaires being whisked around in luxury buses to catch chartered flights then off to premium hotels and catered meals with a staff of nutritionists, physical therapists and trainers at their beck and call. Life on the road must be tough with little to no responsibility for the daily chores and drudgery of what millions of mere mortals have to endure while struggling to get by, working for a whole year for what most of these players make in a game or three. They are tired? Yeah, that must be it...

Totally agree with this statement. I checked out after the 2nd period and turned it off as after two years of Gulutzan hockey I have a really low tolerance for this low event hockey where the players are skating around just enough to make the appearance of effort while not doing any of the things required to win in the NHL. It was evident early in the 2nd period they weren't going to score a goal in this one and when I checked the final score the final result was as expected.

Some people here think it's a good time to slump before the playoffs but there's no guarantee they get out of this funk as it's now three straight seasons they have played their worst hockey of the year in March so as far as I'm concerned every game they continue to play like this is another nail in their coffin as they need to get away from playing this loser style of hockey ASAP.

Was exactly me as well...it wasn't just the 3 losses themselves, but the way they happened. After the Vegas loss I went to bed super frustrated for the 3rd time in 5 nights, I didn't even realize they were playing again the following night. As soon as I saw it on the schedule yesterday I just said to myself "nope..can't do it tonight"..judging by the goose egg in the final score and the way this thread is going, I'm glad I skipped it.

Win 7, lose 7, then maybe....maybe these guys will start playing like they can.
At least Tkachuk is being a pain in the arse again.
