What? The play was blown dead immediately after Tkachuk bowled into Fleury. He was absolutely getting a penalty. The arm wasn't up because it didn't have time to go up -- the Flames already had the puck.
Do you have the volume up on the tv? They specifically talked about Chucky not getting a call.
Refs may have decided to do it later. Because you know, they can just call things they did not see. They missed it, but "rectified" it later.
And Statsny hit right back. Who cares.
Only problem I have with Tkachuk is he needed to do it earlier. Or early in the third, because the intermission gives Fluery the chance to cool down.
Next time he stands in front thst overactive Fleury, and if JG or Mono can take advantage of the timing of a revengeful Fluery, mission accomplished.
If he's doing it on purpose it's to break up the penalty. Then he tried to get an even up by starting a scrum. But the refs didn't bite.
I'm ok with it. Maybe Fleury sits and stews all break. He certainly will be watching for Tkachuk after he gets out.
It really was kind of a selfish penalty by Tkachuk there. It's one thing to try and get under the skin of the goaltender but running him over is going too far. Flames have battled back and it's tough to just hand the Knights a powerplay to start the 3rd period.
I don't mind it. Fleury has been on fire and we need to knock him off his game. Look at him after dropping the gloves after.... how cute. haha.

Dunno, it feels like he want to get involved every time there is some scrum. After all, his role model is Patrick Roy. He is basically waiting for a chance to do that, but not when there is a big possibility of screwing his team in tight game like this I would say. Fleury was trying to bait him out.
