I hooe they have a plan in place to prepare Rittich to start in the playoffs, which may not necessarily mean running with him.
They have managed his work load most of the year. I expect that will continue. 10 - 12 starts

Amen. I only want to see Smith and his flat brimmed hats on back to back game days, here on out.

I never want to see Smith's flat brimmed hats. They are nonsense and stupid.

Go Flames Go!!! I love the start time and will be clocking off early to watch this one.

The Knights don't scare me but playing them in Vegas does. I also a little worried about Rittich but it makes sense to start him knowing Smith has Arizona's number.

What? I didn't say anything like that. I was merely pointing out that Monahan does not have a history of injuries.

The Flames game will also be on Sportsnet and SN360 after the Leafs-Canucks game is finished.

This is ridiculous. The Flames actually looked really good for long stretches in both their last two games despite the results. They’ll be fine.

So... you predict a win? Because Vegas is exactly the kind of team I see Calgary getting a little fire-drillish with. VGK is pretty fast and a little big, and plays a fairly linear game, I see them as a little like the Sharks, actually, and that's the kind of team Calgary sometimes comes loose playing against.

Even Giordano mentioned in his post-game interview the other night that the Flames were way loose and running around and really had to tighten things up. One of the 960 guys mentioned that in a sense, what that really meant was Gio had to not get out of position covering for a flailing Brodie...

Anyway we'll see. I'm not saying the Flames are garbage, or lucky to be where they are or anything. What I do see is that the top line isn't producing 11 point nights for awhile now, neither of our goalies is playing in top form right now, and we've been seeing the line-blender again because a lot of little pieces just aren't quite fitting.

So, yeah. I think there's some endemic issues with the Flames, and I think they get exposed against teams like Vegas. We'll see. If the flames are tight and win 5-2 obviously I'll eat this. I hope to!

This isn't near the level of the Honda curse though. It's being really overblown.

Are you talking about the guy who leads his 2013 draft class by 20 goals??? MCKinnon is second???

Barkov is another 20 goals back in third place.

Man, get a grip.

And don't get me wrong, I'd like nothing more than to see Rittich put up a goose egg on the board, and look controlled and focused doing it.

This game could be a blow-out shutout for either team.
