Forgive me if this is the wrong place to inquire about this, but I have some ‘smartphones for dummies ‘ type questions.
I am not up to the latest and greatest in cellular technology at the moment due to financial constraints. I am currently using an iPhone 6s having accidentally breaking my screen on my LG V30. That is a long story in and of itself. I was wondering how a Google 2xp measured up to these two previously mentioned phones?
Pre-ordered the S10 so I could get the free Galaxy Buds that charge by sitting on the phone. Apparently it'll ship out on March 8, so I should have it by the 11th or 12th I would think.
I know you could directly through Samsung, but I'm getting mine through Telus on a hardware upgrade. Maybe all the carriers were allowed to offer them? I did read they closed that promotion, but maybe check Samsung's site because I thought preorders were now eligible for a $130 credit, which would basically allow you to buy the buds if you wanted.

They have S10e, S10 and S10+ models at Telus in South Centre, so I got to play with one yesterday. It's sick. Can't wait to get mine.
The night mode is absolutely awesome and will be my favourite feature, I think. It turns all the white menus black and really mellows out the display just perfectly.
Does anyone have a good line on phone plans? My contract is up in a few months and am just shopping around. We have 4 phones and generally use a shared data pool. Mostly BYOD but I am looking for one new phone at the least.
I've been happy with Koodo and their BYOD plans. I pay $55/mnth for 4 gigs data, unltd calling and text. It's a promo price admittedly but I believe that promotion is on right now. It was recently anyways.

This is where Canada gets screwed. While individual plans in the US are unlimited (or like 50 gigs without throttling) they are a bit pricey for 1 line ($75ish), you can regularly find 4 phone family plans with unlimited everything for $100-120/month.
Really loving my S10 so far. Early impressions, but it's my favorite new phone since my Galaxy Nexus many years ago.
It may sound weird, but it's just a beautiful phone. It makes me really want to treat it well. The build quality, the weight, the feel... all as good as it gets.
My only disappointment is the pre-installed screen protector. Whoever did my phone at Samsung did a terrible job and there were several obvious dust spots underneath it. I didn't expect such a poor job from a manufacturer. So I took it off immediately.
