We're yet to score a goal in that arena. Hope that changes tonight. Go Flames!

This is ridiculous. The Flames actually looked really good for long stretches in both their last two games despite the results. They’ll be fine.

Agree with you. Posters (and people around the city) proclaim crap like this about the team that is 1st in the west and has basically been 1st for months. The Flames are a damn good team, Vegas will be geared up to play the best in the west as they have the high of a good little run going. It’s going to be a fun game, GFG!

This place could get very ugly tonight if the top 6 and goaltending don’t get it together.

How many games, 3? Knock yourself out if you want to worry about that.

So many nervous Nellies. The Flames are a better team. Vegas' main chance it's if MAF plays like Anderson and Dubnyk did. He's certainly capable of that. But the Flames have also beaten a bunch of good goalies on good runs.

Oh we have, ok. Thought we were shut out in that arena. Ok, I just checked. The last two games we've played there we've been shut out,

The team has struggled a bit but a winning streak starts tonight! The game starts at 10:30 here so the frog will get up usually around 8:30. I will give him a nice warm bath while preparing a special meal for him. We will start with buttery beetle buns and then move on to a fine cricket cuisine covered in a special calcium supplement sauce with a pinch of dust from Frosted Lucky Charms marshmellows. Then for desert we will be having a Superworm Sundae with Vitamin D3 drizzle. Then after we destroy the Knights he will take Mrs. Sticky back into the cave where he will get denied because she is a frigid frog. GFG!

I think posters have every right to be concerned about the way the team has been playing lately, and I'm not just referring to the last two games.

I also think that posters who simply point to the standings, and proclaim "1st in the West, nothing to see here!" while ignoring the last number of games and how the team has been tending lately, and who are dismissing the concerns of others who have noticed those trends as "crap like this", are completely off-side.

I'm stealing/quoting from Flash Walken here, but please consider the following:

PP is 23rd in the league since Feb 1. 3rd in PP opportunities.

19th in PK%

17th in the league in goals for since Feb 1.

12th in the league in goals against since Feb 1.

19th in Even Strength goals for since Feb 1.

None of this screams "1st place team" to me. There are lots of reasons to be concerned about the teams' recent play, and about their game in Las Vegas. The team is struggling right now and has been for a while.

Hopefully they come out with something to prove tonight. Go Flames Go!!

"None of this screams "1st place team" to me."

You know what does scream first place team to me? The standings.

Also, since Feb. the Flames have the second best record in the west. And SJ and AZ have exactly one more win. Goals for - they are 4th in the west and two of the teams ahead are well out of the POs. Goals against they are 4th, but only two teams in the POs ahead, and with a difference of 4 goals behind the leader. PPG - they are 2 goals behind the leader.
