agree with this. usually i'd have turned it off with disgust when they're down 5-1, but they actually haven't played that bad, just the least lucky game i've seen in a while

Never been so nervous for the playoffs...
On one hand, it's great to be so confident for once that they'll make it and do well outside of goaltending!
On the other, why does it have to be a weakness at the most vital position in the game... especially after all those years of kipper being the only real reason for the playoffs

One of those "burn the tape and move on" types of games. Absolutely nothing has gone right for the Flames tonight, while it feels like everything the Leafs have thrown at the net has gone in. Bad breaks, pucks bouncing over sticks, Andersen standing on his head, and Rittich with an uncharacteristically brutal game... it's no fun, but these games happen to the best teams. Just gotta forget about this one and come out flying against Vegas on Wednesday.

Seconded... Talk of him being the highest paid player on the team is crazy. Appreciate the market has shifted but for me no way does he look like an 8 Mil a year player.

Guys just a reminder we’re still in 1st place. This is the first time they’ve lost back to back in regulation since November. Some of these reactions are a bit ridiculous.

The goaltending was never our strength. But it didn't matter when the top line dominated for 20 minutes a night. That is the biggest difference, the top line. When they are going the rest of the team looks great. Probably the same for most teams.

I think you mean impartial. And while the bias here exists, that does not preclude that there are not also a lot of other posters who take pains to be just as impartial as you imagine yourself to be.

I just don't think you are right. Biased or not, I don't believe the Trade Deadline was the appropriate time and situation in which for the Flames to upgrade their goaltending. I have maintained for a while that the right time for change is in the off season.
