I normally wouldn't watch the Oilers vs Sens game, because its a battle of the worst 2 teams in the league in my mind.

The "Dear John" fan video is extremely cringe-worthy, but I'm not going to lie: I am loving how much it is pissing off Maple Leafs fans, and the outrage it has spawned in the National media is especially satisfying.

the Boston TB game will be a fun one!

JT going get a ton of boos that game... the Coli sounded like it could be a really loud place under the right circumstances; tonight is one of those times

The Leafs-Islanders game is the OOT game of the night because of Tavares coming back to Long Island for the first time as the visitor. The Islanders need the two points even though they are a division leader as they are only six points up on the BJs who are fourth in the Metropolitan Division and ninth in the eastern conference. The Flyers-BJs game is going on at the same time and the Flyers are in a must win situation.

The Pacific-Mountain prime time games are important to the wild card race. The Canucks-Coyotes game will be interesting as it seems Thatcher Demko will be the starting goalie for the Canucks. Both teams need to win in regulation or overtime to stay close in the playoff race and for tie breakers. The Stars are one point back of a playoff spot and the Knights are struggling.

It's a bit like if Johnny were to pull a Tom Erixon at the end of his current deal to sign with the Oilers or Canucks. I'd probably be pissed too.

(And yes, I know that's not *exactly* how it happened, but for the sake of comparison)

I hope the Leafs get destroyed, but I always wish that.

Tavares handled the situation with very little class imo. Told the owner he was re-signing and not to trade him at the deadline, when sources close to him say he has been planning to go back to Toronto for years. I think the boo’s are pretty warranted.

And I find it hilarious that the Leafs are trending towards a worse finish with him, while the Islanders are trending towards their best finish in years without him. I know he isn’t actually the cause, but it’s still hilarious.

Yes, it's all so "New York" of the fans to act that way. I think the radio/tv bit is a clever put on but they are certainly not happy, and it is certainly an excuse to misbehave. The fans in that arena were always so colourful, i believe there was a really good "sign guy" at one time. Looks like the fans have a nice little chant going.....

I love it, but cannot imagine a more fitting end to this game than to see Tavares invisible and the Maple Leafs embarrassed.
