Everyone is talking about 7 game streak and 7 points up on San Jose, but now that the Flames are at 89 points, they are also 7 from satisfying the snek!

Backs is actually pretty snarly this year, I wouldn't call it a mean streak, but there's times it's close. Love it.

It's so bad that the morning show wants to use more of it.

Technically, the Coyotes could still win a ROW tiebreaker, so for now, the magic number is 7.5.
However, if the Flames win 4 more games in regulation or overtime, Arizona can no longer win that tiebreaker, and loses the season series tiebreaker.
Technically still 7.5, effectively 7.

Todd Cordell on Oscar Fantenberg's debut:
"4) Oscar Fantenberg and Rasmus Andersson looked very good in their debut as a pairing. In ~12 minutes together, they allowed *checks notes* one shot on goal and zero scoring chances. If the Flames generated literally nothing offensively with them on the ice, you'd still happily take that from the 3rd pairing. But they did. The Flames spent the vast majority of the time on their toes with this duo out there. The ice was always tilted.
I'm not saying I want Juuso Valimaki or Oliver Kylington sitting. It's also important not to overreact to one game. With that said, I thought Fantenberg's shot/chance suppressing ability would nicely compliment Andersson's offensive upside and that was certainly the case in New Jersey. Hopefully it continues moving forward."

So what happens when Neal gets healthy? I honestly can't see Czarnik coming out of the lineup anytime soon, as he's been flat out awesome since coming back in. So who comes out?

My best guess is Czarnik comes out again.
Just can't see Neal sitting out, and unless they want to move Hathaway out for the playoffs (unlikely), Czarnik seems most likely to sit despite his recent hot streak.

our PK unit seems to have compressed down to five-ish guys
Backlund - Jankowski + Lindholm
and
Ryan - Hathaway + Lindholm
which means Frolik is really on the bubble.

Czarnik needs a big points game soon if he wants to stay in the line up.
You know it will be him that comes out when Neal is back. Defensively, he is the worst of the forwards so if he's not scoring, he's coming out.
I honestly don't see a lot difference in his play between before and during his little streak. The only thing that has changed is he got the bounces and the puck went in.
He was still generating offensive chances before and getting shots on net but he wasn't scoring.
