I am seeing The Flames beating the Lighting in Game 7 of the Finals this year.
Please make this happen.

It looks like by the end of the night there is the potential for the first WC team to succumb to the Flames magic number.
With the Flames ROW now at 41, the best ROW LA can muster is 40 if they win all their games. With that ROW tie breaker advantage, a LA loss to Dallas tonight will make it impossible for them to pass the Flames. What it also means is the playoff tsunami has made landfall and will start consuming the other stragglers.
The next team that will get swept away this weekend will be Anaheim, who also can not catch us in ROW.

It rises to 10% when you remove the weighting...but either way it’s looking good to avoid the “toughest road” to the 2nd round
Would be nice to rest a few of the players in the last couple if games if that luxury presented itself (Granpa Gio, Moneyhands, Lindy, Backs)...as well as getting some games into the call-ups, just in case.
Locking in the top seed early would be extra beneficial.

Everything was going so well. To put things in perspective, this is the first time since segment 3 that we have lost back to back in regulation.
I think I jinxed things by proclaiming teams will start succumbing top the Flames magic number. I apologize hockey gods, I will let you determine when the teams are done. All things considered, 3 points up and we have a 2 ROW lead with 16 games remaining. Just need to keep on keeping on.
The red highlighted ROW at the bottom indicate that those team can no longer catch the Flames in ROW. In a magic number formula, it calculates the points or games to finish 1 point ahead of the team. So with the Flames clinching the ROW the magic number for those highlighted are actually 1 point or .5 games less. I just was too lazy to override the cell.

If the Flames lay off that Johnnie Stumbler scotch they’ll be fine.

1 pt behind SJ with equal games played.
The silver lining is this is that the Flames have a somewhat forgiving schedule the rest of the way.
Gonna be interesting to see how this shakes out.

The Flames’ forgiving schedule included the last 4 games.
The problem is not the opponents at this time, it’s on the Flames’ side.
