Earlier this year, Tampa was second to Nashville in the league standings.
It's was scary, because we knew that Tampa's top line wasn't firing on all cylinders, so they could be better.

I feel like the Flames are kind of the same right now. They're second in the league, yet they can be even better if the top line gets going.
So maybe the Flames are scary too.

@Fan960Steinberg
Calgary up to 427:24 consecutively without trailing. That carries all seven games during their season-high win streak.

Safe to say this is the team’s most complete stretch all season. Held NJ to just 2 high danger chances tonight at 5v5, per @NatStatTrick. #Flames

Scrappy slog of a game, makes sense given the horrible schedule. Happy they pulled out the win. It was the type of game they very likely would have lost last year. They dug in and did not break under NJ pressure. PK and Rittich came through in a big way. Full marks for the 7 game win streak and the 7 point cushion on SJ, hope they keep it rolling with a dominant win over the Wild.

The Flames are freaking amazing this year. I don’t think it gets much better than 89 points in February.

Composed, resilient and can play any way they need to.

When players falter, others pick it up.

This is a team.

I couldn't watch the game today but I did catch a highlight of Gio's goal on FB. Didn't he score that exact same goal a few games ago? I can't remember against who...

It was actually similar to the first goal I can remember him scoring. Against Toronto. I'm sure he had lots before but it was the same slick move and the point was it was against his favourite team.

Darren Haynes said he wants to call that move "The Giordano"!

You might enjoy a certain photo shoot out there that Britta and Annie had together

A bit ugly but impressive to pull off 7 wins in a row.

Johnny with assists on all three goals, one of which was a great pass and a better goal from Gio. Monahan really not playing well though. Great for them to overcome the first line's slump with team defence and contributions throughout the lineup. Can't complain about goaltending when both goalies are winning 2-1 games. This team can go somewhere.
