Who do you suggest sits this game?

I wonder if he just smashed his face or winded himself landing on the ice hard when he went for that save.

Good, though Wills said the same thing last night on the basis of zero info. I was just wondering if he was in the backup net taking shots, or if they gave him the morning off.

Tkachuk. That through the legs dangle is disrespectful to the game. Playing like a bunch of jerks out there.

I could see Frolik getting sat. Just because Peters has gone down that route before. Plus I thought he was the weakest link on Long Island.

Hathaway could because he's a physical player and some rest would do him some good.

Could sit Mangiapane just because he is a rookie and small.

Looking at that devils lineup, I think this is as good a game as any to bring him in

Be interesting to see how our new defenseman fits in on the backend. How blessed are we to have this young up and coming defense core? Go Flames!!

This screams trap game again to me, just like with the Senators. The Flames struggled against an AHL lineup in Ottawa, I'm really hoping they do a better job tonight

No, it will be all about damn horseshoes up Flames' asses. I believe it is the same poster saying this same thing each and every time Flames win.

The confidence in the clip with Raz is one thing, but it shows a few other things too, the biggest in my mind being genuine chemistry on the team, but that the guys are happy, having fun, teasing a bunch, rather than just being sort of quiet and workmanlike. Winning "fixes" a lot of stuff, but I haven't seen too many interviews with Flames players in the last few years where I thought they looked "teamy", whether they were winning or losing. This year's group looks much tighter to me.

The result is that "suddenly" guys like Backlund, who maybe some of us see as a nice piece, but like, maybe a #3 center on good team... those guys are playing a ton better, or have added something to their game this year. Backlund, just as an example, has always been a horse in terms of getting lots of little things done, just burning up minutes on the clock, but not really a threat out there. But suddenly he's a genuine scoring threat. Suddenly he's not just playing, he's driving the people on his wings, whoever they are. It's a step up for him imho and a few guys have done it this year. The Hamonic/Hanifin pair looks great. Tkachuk is playing great, Bennett is coming along, even guys like Jankowski seem to have figured certain things out even if their game isn't quite complete.

Cup-winning stuff? Maybe not this year, but boy, things are moving in the right direction for the first time in a very long time. There's some talent, there's leadership, chemistry.... looking really good.

Lol I think the heat could stand up to that roster. Hischier, Coleman and zajac are the only nhl level forwards they're icing...
Blackwood is a great goalie though, we will see how we fare against him

I'll be interested to see Hischier play. For a recent #1, he's received very little fanfare (at least out West), yet has pretty decent numbers so far.

Bolded...you know that he is in fact the #2 center on a GREAT team, 2nd in the league, up by 4 on 3rd place with less than 20 games left.

I like the rest of your points but he is a good #2 center on our team and I like it.

The confidence of Raz and the rest of the young guys is awesome, maybe not winning the cup this year but I think they have a great chance at it. Should be a fun ride!
