Too bad the team isn't scheduled to wear retros on Saturday (maybe they decided to change?) -- looking forward to the Iggy warmup jerseys (likely retro as well).
P.S. Still think Lanny's original banner was the best...

Love the new banners, and glad they paid attention to the detail of the small C in McDONALD... Many retro jerseys in the crowd, or displayed in the concourse-jamming auctions have the C placed incorrectly - lining up with the bottom of the letters rather than the top.
This is something that would have driven me nuts every time I'm at the Dome. Jersey fails are excusable. Jersey retirement banners are not. Well done.
Also nice to see the Saddledome staff getting in some practice on adding new banners. May come in handy..

Crazy the BS that Ticketmaster pulls... they just dropped the 'face value' of the tickets for Saturdays game.
Blue tickets were $231 yesterday with all fee's. Today they are $170.
Glad I'm going... but wish I didn't buy tickets yesterday.

Let's hope they all get up there!
And yuck to the forever a Flame. Such disrespect to Chopper and Nieuwy. Just looks bad. I wonder how many Conn Smythe trophy winners don't have their number retired by their team. MacInnis demoralized opposition goalies in that Stanley Cup run and was also the all time leading scorer for this team for a long time till Fleury and Iggy surpassed him, and he was a defenseman!

Face Value is an old way to label tickets and doesn't really exist anymore. There is Season Ticket holder cost per game, and "market value".

Face value is what ticketmaster sells them to the public for.
And yesterday blue face value was $230 and today its $170.
Face value is also what this forum allows people to sell tickets for. Its just crazy that the Flames and Ticketmaster can change that stuff back and forth arbitrarily when they need to hold tickets back vs move more tickets.

That's my point. Face Value = Market Value, which is subject to change given demand activity. Face value doesn't really mean anything anymore.

They aren't scheduled to, but I wouldn't be surprised if that changes.

And as a STH, I hate that. Much of the value of season tickets is having the whole season locked in way below face value. A good portion of that benefit has been eroded. Many times this season, the ticketmaster price has been nearly the same as STH price and the Ticketmaster Reseller price has been far lower.

Face value = what ticketmaster sells to the general public for.
Market value = what people are willing to actually buy tickets for.
Ticketmaster has in the past flipped tickets from "regular ticket" to "verified resale ticket" closer to puck drop (and adjusted/lowered their prices) to move tickets.
But I've never seen them change tier pricing levels like this to change all face values 3 days before a game.
Anyways, lots of $170 second level seats and lots of $100 bleeders on ticketmaster now. Get em while they're hot!

Face Value = "the value printed or depicted on a coin, banknote, postage stamp, ticket, etc"
The Flames no longer show a face value on the ticket or even issue actual tickets for the most part. The term face value is no longer relevant. There is listed price, which changes based on demand, or could be called a "current door price".
They have changed various prices for games all year, usually in the weeks leading up to the game date.

Cool story bro. You even list tickets you're selling yourself on this forum with 'Ticketmaster Price". That's the face value.Anyways I'm done. Enjoy the game.

I wonder if Gary Bettman will be in the house. Was listening to the Spittin Chicklets podcast and they were saying Bettman was at the Doan jersey retirement last Sunday.
