Phenomenal PK by the Islanders. Damn, Flames couldn't get a clear lane.
Kudos to the Islanders. They are the team I follow the most in the East, and they are a completely different team ala the Flames, with Trotz as the head coach compared to season's past. Good for them, I'll be rooting for a Flames/Islanders final!

Calgary had Monahan and Lindholm on their off wings yet neither one attempted a one-timer, or even placed themselves in a position to actually take a one-timer. The Isles PK looks great because they basically didn't have to move.
I know the 5 on 3 is a rare powerplay setup but the players need to be way more mobile. Even if Gio glides atop the top of the zone and takes a shot it forces players and the goalie to at least move around.
