My god are people really flipping out that Tre gave up no assets today?

We have the 2nd best record in the league.

Trade deadline day "winners" rarely win anything important.

Settle down, jesus anyways.

I'm not so sure. I like the idea that we will continue to have good players next year too, and didn't throw the future away. There's lots of years left with many players in this core, wasn't necessary to make a move this year. I'm much happier being the team that made the most significant changes during the off-season.

Who cares?

We’re already the best in the west. They’re playing catch up to us.

Out of Nashville, Winnipeg, Vegas and SJ, we will only play 2 of them, maybe 1 if a team like the Blues upset a team or two.

Let them beat up on each other in R1. We’ll be fine.

Remember that 1 of the sharks/knights will most likely be out in round 1. I trust Tre in the sense that any deal they tried to pursue just didn't make sense for the make-up/future of this team. Only 1 team is winning the cup this year. Flames window is open for the next few years and we still have the team to make an exciting run this year

I think the biggest whiff is granlund. Fiala is a pretty meh piece and granlund could have be a very underrated add.

Trying to remain positive, but any chance of the Flames coming out of the West went down significantly today.

We play Vegas twice in the coming weeks. It will be interesting to see by then how they stack up with the change vs. us holding still. I would have liked to see some more depth added up front, but I can understand not doing anything. TB also made no moves and why would they with how things are going. The top teams are top teams for a reason as it stands...

Big message to the dressing room here. Time for Monahan, Gaudreau, and Tkachuk to enter beast mode.

This is Tree betting on Bennett, Kylington, Andersson, Czarnik and Mangiapane.

I don't hate it, I hope these guys are up to the challenge.

Every team in the west near us in the standings add significant pieces. We do absolutely nothing except add a plug depth d-man. Not too impressed.

that's predicated on Calgary staying on top of the pacific... if calgary slips to 2nd, they face VGK in the first round...

we'll see... i mean you don't want to overpay for stone, so that's what they did.

gotta hope that the team is able to continue their pace

I 100% agree with not making any big moves, there is no point in screwing the future or wrecking the chemistry this teams has.

I bet if you ask the players they 100% believe they have the pieces in place to go far this year, let them believe in eachother and prove it.

Not upset that we didn't do something drastic, but it hurts to see the Flames competition all get better. Confidence for the playoffs has decreased, if only a little bit.

Not worries at all. Team sport, our team is good. Lots to improve, but while others are trying to get their #### together, we’ll be ironing out to perfection.
