Okay, how does an addition to one line make the Oilers better? They would essentially have a $30M first line, then nothing behind it. That isn't how you build a winner, and it definitely doesn't help you climb in the standings.

That means the Flames are the front runner.

Flames are the only team that has been reportedly close to making a trade for Stone. If this goes down to the last hour I like our chances

Might have been mentioned but I wonder if the Flames were also in on Ceci with their offer last night? I wouldn't have been a fan of that...but he was pulled just before the game, and now they're reporting there's not much interest in him. Curious timing.

Ottawa probably wanted him to be part of the deal
He's not good.

Burke just said in reference to Stone and the Flames the ask a few days ago was 4 pieces, today it's 3 pieces. Thinks real pressure on Dorion to get a deal done in 30min or so.

I'd do it if the second was conditional.

If it is for a pure rental with very little assurance of a new contract then I wouldn’t.

No. Not even Mark Stone can save the Edmonton Oilers.
No one can.
No one.

Anyone familiar with the Islanders org and what they can offer? I'm trying to figure out what everyone's "best offer" would be and they are one who concerns me because they seem to be competent and recognize a window.
