I'm happy Tre is not buckling under the pressure to pay the high price for Stone. I think Vegas ends up with Stone as a pure rental and pays a pretty heavy price.
I'd be happy with someone like Johansson for a 2nd +, or staying put.

Can I ask why you think a player on pace for 20 goals is equivalent to a guy who couldn't crack an NHL lineup on a regular basis and was waived?
How are they similar?

The more this drags out the more I hope the team sits tight or does something small. I'm actually excited about our team the way it is. Combine this with the flames adding picks in the offseasons by moving a player or 2. A great chance to win this year still and could look awesome next year both in the nhl and prospect ranks!

Stewart scored 28 in 2009-2010, 28 in 2010-2011 (in 62 games), 15 in 2011-2012, and 18 during the lockout shorten 2012-2013 season.

Starting to think that Stone stays in Ottawa, and Tre makes him a good offer in free agency.
Staal is my pick for an under the radar trade. Low acquisition, no bidding war and an upgrade on the second line RW. I'm pretty sure he can play both positions.
