“We had a shake on no fighting and there were a lot of witnesses so that won’t happen. It was dad’s idea” - Brady Tkachuk on playing brother Matthew tonight.
So its basically guaranteed to happen because kids always listen to their dad.
Personally, I hope it doesnt. Theres no sense in Matt fighting, we're looking to the playoffs and Brady is looking to the off-season, nobody needs to get injured.
I'm worried about this game, not just because of the focus on the Tkachuk family storyline, thats fine, but because of the disparity between the two teams, the link because of the trade deadline, potential rust for Rittich.
Lets just settle down and win. This game has everything going for the Flames, its a game that we should win, these are the types of games we typically lose.
Just win and move along.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Minnesota has 64 points in 62 games and sit 3rd in the wild card race. The maximum amount of points they can get is 84. With a win tonight Calgary can get 85 points and clinch a playoff spot? Is that correct?
The math aside, Minny doesn't matter. The only teams that can knock the flames out of the three Pacific seeds in a pacific team. So flames magic number is tied to Arizonas and Vancouvers.

Other than the mentioned Wild with 104 point max, Flames magic number is technically 103 points since Yotes max points is 103. Flames closer to clinching 3rd in Pacific vs.second wildcard spot. Flames magic number of games is 10. So each time Flames win or Yotes / Nucks lose, that hits that. Flames might actually clinch a spot in the next two weeks.
