Trading Bennett before this playoff run would be foolish. He’s the type of guy you win series’ with. Drags his teammates into the game.

 Way more about intangibles.

Anyways, if we’re trading any roster player would rather it be frolik or Brodie

The best proposal I’ve heard so far for stone is dube, Brodie and a 1st

 Which seems about right

How do you know what he is looking for? I really have liked Bennett's game for the most part this year, but he's also the kind of player you don't want to overpay. I suppose every player is like that, but in today's NHL it seems like you need to pay the big $'s for scoring.

If , and only if, the flames can work out a contract with Stone as a pre condition to the deal they should be willing to give up Bennett and a first, IMO.
Maybe more.

That is fine but not as a rental. Personally I try a bunch of other adds than Sam Bennett.

Sens don’t get to extract a ton of value from Stone’s future contract. I think it is required to get the A prospects in addition to the 2 1st picks they are probably looking for.

I don’t think the Flames would even come close to giving up Dube+1st for a rental they need that contract. I think the same goes for the Jets with Roslovic or Nashville with Tolvenen. Sens won’t get these guys and the picks for a rental.

F### off with Bennett chatter. He will have nothing to do with Stone. It's moot.

			I love Bennett.
But come on, if you can get a signed Stone for him, you do it. If it can fit the salary structure of course.

Bennett is going no where. We need another one of him, not to subtract him.

I suspect the Sens want more cost control than acquiring Bennett affords them. Having not seen him much they'd likely only bridge him.
