Smith’s puckhandling is a huge asset to this team....see Islander and many many other games. He substantially diminishes opponents time in Flames zone.

Mike smith sucks. I can't wait till i never have to see him in a flames jersey.
Someone needs to tell him to be a goalie, his puck playing ability is grossly overrated.

I would rather he focus on his positioning and work stick handling back into his game later. For now just play your position well. Make the saves you should and half the ones you shouldn't. The defence know how to do their jobs retrieving pucks.

It's like Johnny's giveaways. They happen because he's always handling the puck and trying stuff. You accept the odd one that ends badly and move on.
The reason Smith waits, BTW, is that usually he's good enough to trap a forward deep by waiting. He blew it this time. Of all Smith's play, puckhandling is the least of my worries.
