How so? Any ppg needs #1 pp time. That means eith tkachuk or lindholm get bumped off. Lindholm capable being a ppg player at a much lower cost. If stone could be signed for 8mm he would make a great pairing with thachul. The rumour of 10mm plus will hurt the teams cap structure.

It's funny that we're scared of losing three guys who were picked in the 50s and would rather lose the pick. Seem so much more valuable when you have a name to that pick:

Dube instead of "2016 56th overall"
Andersson instead of "2015 53rd overall"
Kylington instead of "2015 76th and 83rd overall"

Who knows who's available at 2019 ~30th overall? So easy undervalue the pick.

This whole thread is about speculation and just having some fun with trade rumors. When he was pushed he gave up a bit more details which is fine by me.

If you have info, share it. Don't need to poke the fanbase about how they would've exploded if such and such and such and such had happened but won't now.

This forum would benefit from less idiotic trade proposals, not more.

Fine. But when you post info intended to cause more questions and then scoff at the notion that you don't care the message board is anonymous, well, its a bad look.

This is the one thing that I think people always make a mistake on with rumors though...even if it's wrong doesn't mean it's fake.

And people having such a negative reaction towards posting a rumour is why people don't want to share what they might be hearing from a "source" because they just get shat on if it's not true.

There are 31 NHL GMs that are constantly discussing players and trades daily. My guess is that less than 0.5% of what gets discussed actually ends up being a trade.

Just because a rumour doesn't pan out it doesn't mean it was fake. Just means that they couldn't come to agreement on a deal that made sense.

As long as the rumors aren't about a players personal life or a personal issue surrounding a team then there should be no issue with people sharing rumors and nobody should have any expectation that all rumors are going to end up being true.

The reason people end up being vague with stuff though is either because they don't feel right sharing the details of what somebody told them in confidence.

Or in the case of Hes they know that it's likely not going happen 100% and don't need to deal with the response of being called a ######## by people like you on this forum who are taking it all too seriously.

It's all in fun and he gave us a little teaser.

If he had just ghosted the thread after that and dissappeared then it would have been a troll, but he was willing to share more info once pushed. Nothing wrong with that.
