Have to admit: We missed the story on McDavid's hit to the head last night. We suspect he'll get one game. Column upcoming on @Sportsnet.ca

McDavid's penalty: forced NMC that dictates he must play out his remaining contract in Edmonton, no matter how bad the suck.

Missed? How about categorically wrong? Spector tweeted out that he didn't think it warranted anything, as it was just a first offense?
One the hangover from suckling on that sweet sweet kool aid the Oilers provide for the pre game meal to the media, and ignoring Drew and Shannon and himself on the panel doing the group think and coming off as ridiculous , he's come to reality.

But it was addressed and marginalized, and he was flat out wrong but won't admit it.

No priors. I think that hit should get something - one game for a first timer, 2 games for a repeat offender. But I would guess that he gets a fine.

McDavid hits the head so well. There is nothing he can't do.

I see that Oilers fans are hilariously imagining that this hearing will be the right setting for McDavid's player rep to rip the DoPS for the fact that he doesn't draw enough penalties. Yeah, good luck with that.

I do not know how to embed tweets:

He posted this from Kieth Gretzky's transcribed argument:

Absolutely pathetic.
A - The defense
B- Running to the press with the defence before the verdict
C - Spector lapping it all up and theorizing the Oilers must be right becuase they can see things we can't.

Just a scummy, slimy organization, and the media that cover them and for them, from top to bottom.

The mental gymnastics of their argument is so amazing that even the Russian judge is giving them a decent score.

lifted left leg to mitigate contact? pffftt

looked more like a linear crossover to accelerate into the hit

"He tried to get the puck."
