I think if Stone re-signed here, his value to our top-6 would be pretty substantial.
If the ask is the 2019 1st + the 2020 1st + Mangipane + Foo I hate what state that leaves your prospect depth at... but I really like what this team looks like for 4+ years. I also don't think that Treliving makes this deal without a strong idea of what Tkachuk will need and what Stone will stay for. He's built this team too meticulously to fumble what we can all see as a concern.
When you consider moving Brodie and Frolik you can add back to that prospect pool as well. Thankfully, we don't
need to be drafting in the 1st round to find anything NHL calibre. You're going to need goaltending sorted to start the 2019 season, as you're limiting your options to extend your window with this shallow of a prospect base... but again, Treliving.
When we look at how valuable the 3M line has been to this team for a few years, I can only imagine how much potential that line has with Stone on it - and that's just one option for Stone. Playing him with Elias as center, for example would give Johnny 2 scary weapons to load up. It'd be a pretty big deal if Treliving could add him.
