If NYI were to finish 1st in the Metro and Leafs got the WC1 I would be happy and would expect the Leafs to win.
In reality the Leafs would get 40 shots a game but Lehner would post 4 shutouts.
NYI would get 20 shots a game but score on all their PPs.
Leafhaters would be creaming in their beddybeds for weeks.

In less than an hour, they will be 5 points behind 11th place in the conference. That’s a lot of points to make up on a lot of teams.

They had 7 shots in the first 40 minutes versus Calgary. 9 shots is a 29% increase.

It is Markstrom's to bail his team out, the Coyotes are out shooting the Canucks 13-2 in the third period. Chycrun scored on the thirteenth shot to tie the game at 1-1.

The way they've played and had such minimal shots for multiple periods the last two nights, it's almost as if they are waiting on and/or daring Lou to make a trade like that.

Just caught up on the sharks pens game... Evander Kane is such a dirt bag on and off the ice and I'm at the point where I dislike SJ more than any other team for the moment. If the flames don't win it this year I'll be cheering for anybody playing them.

Arizona and Vancouver both get one point, both 4 points ahead of the Oil. Winner will be 5.

The Coyotes-Canucks game is going to OVERTIME. Nice shot by Gaudette to tie the game.

The Coyotes get the important ROW, that helps for tie breaker in the tight race.

Why? The Maple Leafs have not won a playoff round since 2004.

Not sure what to do with that. Past results are not really an indicator of future performance. They have never had these particular combinations of players, coaches, management, experience, etc.
No Leaf round wins since 2004. Ok. On one hand, NYI won a round in 2016. On the other hand, the captain from that team is on the Leafs now.
Washington had never won a cup until they did.
The fan thinks his team is going to win. Why not?

Haha damn beat me to it. Apparently winning a round a few years ago means a lot.
People call me a troll on here but all I do is state an opinion (not inflammatory) and usually try and back it up with logic/reasoning.

Me too. I'd enjoy a Bruins/Leafs series as well but they scare me too much.
A Leafs/NYI series would just be hilarious.

So was Jordan Binnington, he let in 4 goals on 8 shots in the 2nd period of the Stars 5-2 win.
