One spot.
32nd to 31st. "But it's a first rounder!"

Hasn't it been quietly not working out in Carolina since the beginning of November?

I've noticed he has gotten a bunch quieter about Brodie today.
I am starting to think he might be traded at the deadline rather than waiting for the offseason. Sure seems like the Flames wouldn't miss a beat without him. Andersson has been an upgrade when taking the spot next to Gio in the last 15 games.
What would Brodie and a 1st get you? Nyquist and Jensen?

Think he's been better lately but to EV's point it's more about the resurgence of Faulk I think...as in the offseason he was the favourite to be moved.
Still just seems like weird timing as you'd think it'd be better to make that decision in the offseason.

Easily, but why would the Tre bend over?

Heading into the playoffs a team needs a surplus of NHL defensemen in order to go far. The reason I don't see the Flames moving a defenseman before the offseason is precisely because they expect they will need to play eight or nine in the Spring. If Brodie is part of that group, the Flames are much better for it.

Unless they want to move on from him pretty badly.

You should be able to get a 1st for Brodie. IMO

As we await Ottawa Senators lineup confirmation, Devils forward Marcus Johansson is also expected to be a healthy scratch tonight for precautionary reasons.

Pinder suggesting a Zuccarello for Kylington and a 3rd type trade.
He argues that because Kylington is 4th on the LD depth chart for the next foreseeable future, he should be moved. I don't necessarily disagree, but I think Kylington would have more value than a rental of Zuccarello's level.

Strong suggestions from some @Senators
Stone, Dzingel , Duchene will all be scratched from tonight’s @NJDevils game.

I suggest Pinder quit his day job and leave the trade suggestions to the professionals.

I would not trade Kylington straight up for Zuc let alone throw in a 3rd.

Stone hitting the market officially is friggin' huge!
(given that he's scratched tonight, it's not a wild assumption)

i would rather ottawa re-sign stone, that means another western team won't get him, the flames won't be tempted to send too many assets, and we would stand a chance of dumping mike stone on ottawa in the offseason. looks like the hour has passed for that

If all we'd be getting is an expiring Zucharello contract, id much prefer to keep Kylington and let his value keep increasing and trade him next year (or the offseason afterwards) for an actual asset we can keep. And that's all IF they have identified him as surplus that should be moved to extract value elsewhere.

I think it is a wild assumption. I am sure they are still trying to get it done but in case it doesn't they don't want to chance an injury. Until the Sens come out and say so nothing is official.
