The first thing I thought was 'Why is David Rittich at West Edmonton Mall?'

what bravery? he just simply took a photo.

Now he should've taken the opportunity to shout out "Hey McDavid! How's your golf swing?" or "What's it like to finally play on an AHL team?". That would be brave

Well one, he’s in Edmonton. That takes balls. Two he’s at an Oiler autograph session wearing Flames gear.

Calgarians travel to Edmonton all the time and secondly, he never knew the Oiler autograph session was happening

Unless he shouts out something at the Oiler players and fans, it's no different than wearing a rival jersey to a game.

My bet is that they are below 8.5 but not by much.

Actually, it’s over: 9.5

They have had, essentially, 15 top-10 picks since 2006.

Poor Edmonton fans are sitting there watching Gerald Butts resign and wondering "Why not Lowe man . . . why not Lowe"

Edmonton Oilers @EdmontonOilers
The #Oilers have recalled forward Josh Currie from the @Condors, placed forwards Jujhar Khaira & Jesse Puljujarvi on Injured Reserve & activated defenceman Andrej Sekera from IR.

Should've got a photo of Connor with a signed painting of Scorch taking Nurse from behind, or pretty much any photo from this thread.

Why argue about that in this thread of all threads?

Oilers are so bad that they've become the de-facto farm club of the Bakersfield Condors.

I wear my jersey, shirt, and socks around town whenever I can, and that’s right.. the underwear does get a little tight

Honestly though, oil fans are so embarrassed of their NO GOOD team, they just avert their gaze most of the time.

Why do I suspect Oilers will suspiciously go on IR from now until the end of the season?

Why does it appear on CapFriendly that Sekera has been placed on LTIR?

After 59 games, the Flames have 79 points.

In 8 of the last 9 seasons, the Oilers have failed to reach 79 points after 82 games (or be on a 79 point pace in the lockout-shortened season).

if you look at the history of #1 picks being traded, the returns are typically a lot... it just doesn't happen very often esp in the NHL

the only comparable is Lindros that i can think of... and while Hughes isn't that, he should get you a lot

Lindros was traded in an era where everybody was obsessed with size and Lindros was a physical specimen. Also, he was billed as The Next One.

there are far too many "generational talents" out there. thats all you hear about with these young guys coming up. Lindros very much fit the bill as generational.. generational doesnt mean as much when it occurs every 2 years
