I dunno. I get tons of enjoyment seeing them bottom of the standings.

They’re not turning things around so who cares if they load up on 1st overalls.

It was a clear message that the Old Boys Club tenure was over.

If McDavid can't fix the Old Boys Club in Edmonton, no way Hughes can.
Nah, Nicholson was brought in by Lowe with recommendation to Katz from Gretzky as they all worked on the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Olympic teams (Chia did too in 2010, and Tambelleni did in 2002 at least as well). Another name th@t Katz can put on the trophy shelf, and ther because of the OBC, not an outsider.

Katz did bring in Chia, yes on the recommendation of Nicholson because of thst Olympic team year. But they only did half the job, they merifcfully kept on the OBC of Lowe and McTavish (and Howson) instead of cleaning those guys out.

MacTavish still had a daily role, and Lowe, though no role and lost the VP Hockey Ops title, was licking his severely bruised ego in the shadows, rarely heard from, but bided his time for the ability and opening to come back.

If Katz would’ve pushed Lowe and his buddies out the door instead of letting them hang around out of sympathy, the Oilers would be in a much better place right now. Boohoo, they aren’t.

He'd be the #1 center after McDavid's trade request is granted.

Of course, that'd throw an awful lot on the back of an 18 year old kid.

But these are the Oilers and the Oilers are gunna oil.

Three game home stand for the Oilers this week... Every single game they play a team who played the Flames the night before.

In Oilers world this is bad because those teams will be angry after being beat.

I'm giddy at the thought of the Oilers finishing dead last.

And not just last place in a squeaker, but last by a considerable margin.

Come March when they’re playing out the string, McDavid will pour in the points in garbage time and they’ll string together some wins.

Until then, I’ll enjoy their steady descent into the basement.

How lucky are we as Flames fans to witness this Dynasty of Suckitude? It's really an incredible streak. The best gift one could hope for in a rival. It feels like it will never end!

I can’t think of a time where I rooted for the ducks more than this night.

What's the opposite of Dynasty? Dystopia? Dystopacy (is that a word)?

I do. I want them to finish last and drop to 4th in the draft lottery. You know the new GM (Lowe & Mac-T) is going to trade this years 1st for a couple NHL ready players they’ll completely ruin, or a few washed up big name players they can find without no trades.

3 out of a 20 possible pts in their last 10 games. Worst L10 in the league (Ducks managed 4 pts, Avs 5)

Well, the OBC would definitely be an "Oily-garchy."

I won't be happy until McDavid demands a trade and they try to get him to pay back some of his contract before they trade him.
