The Delhi police have announced the formation of a crack team dedicated to nabbing the elusive 'Monkey Man' and offered a reward for his -- or its -- capture.

Doesn't matter if it's an ass eatin' season, as long as merch is being sold, Katz is happy? What a Fkd up organization. Cheers to another 10 years.
The 'SZN' referenced on this "gentleman's" jersey is not a reference to any hockey season or hockey in general. The fact that a fan would not only have it applied to a jersey but also worn in public and shown off on TV is a resounding testament to E=NG
In other news, Bakersfield won their 15th straight game tonight in the AHL. I know it gets joked about often around here, but it really is starting to look like they'd be better off if they just swapped their NHL and AHL rosters.
Some person on twitter already did this math on this one. Aside from the top 4 players on the Oilers, you could swap the entire remaining roster and not notice much difference. I think that the AHL team was a game or two ahead...
Wish I could find that tweet again, it was pretty funny.
This is great. The benchmark for Keith’s trades is whether they’re better than Chia’s trades. Hinting at handing over the reigns to Gulutzan.
Let the good times roll!
Every now and then they do something, like fire Chia, and you think: “well shucks, it has come to an end but it was fun while it lasted.” But nope, I don’t think this train wreck has come to its end yet. So much fun.

It’s because the same lead conductor has been on the train for over two decades.
Lowe got pushed to a random boxcar for the better part of 3 years after Katz finally realized the source of the problem (when he should have been punted from the caboose), but the cap hit and organizational toxicity he actually, and not so ironically created, had finally caught up with his predecessor.
The crappy results set in as a result of Chia’s hands being tied due in large part to the bad cap management he had when given the role, and certainly the fact that very few players of impact were waiving ntc clauses to go there, which prevented the change the culture of losing thst Lowe had created. Hall for Larsson was the best he could do because the players the Oilers wanted to replace the sulkers and losing culture, Hall had the most value. Yak or RNH or Drai, the return was even lower, because although teams were willing to trade a good player back, that good player refused. Larsson didn’t have to waive to get traded.
So, as things sprial down because of this what Lowe had set in motion for years, Lowe could sneak up from the boxcar, slick talk Katz into giving him back control and vp hockey title, and backstab the current GM and vp of hockey operations, which he has, via using the press to undermine the GM, and use his used car sales ability to sell it to an owner who has lost control and had no idea what to do next.
With the media, which he always has severely influenced, lapping up every tidbit of dufus for dufus trades his puppet is carrying out, while simultaneously crapping on and blaming the current state of affairs solely on the guy he ran his coup operation on, Lowe is fully back in power, once again insulated by a few layers of people to blame (once blaming Chia is exhausted), and clearly the ability (and confidence that he’s never truly going to be fired) to sweet talk the owner in giving him repeated opportunities.
Wanna hear something real good ,I read some thing a bit ago apparently the Oilers management wants Hitch to be nicer and not so hard on the players.
That right there is the problem with the Oilers. Players are worshipped by fans and management and owner and coaches are undermined.

It's just so ridiculously unbelievable. I mean, it's hilarious that it's happening to the one sports team I hate the most, but really, it's downright unfathomable that a man who made himself a fortune large enough to buy his favourite team is so stupid and blind to the fact that he's ruining it by continuing to keep his childhood heroes in management.
It's mind boggling. The guy is a billionaire. He made that money by being business savvy. And yet the Oilers are the Oilers. It's great, but it's also so very, very pathetic and unbelievable. And it just goes on and on. What a dichotomy. So great and so pathetic at the same time.
I enjoy Oilers losses about 80% as much as I enjoy Flames wins.
This season has just ... its just been SO great.
I'm the same. Almost in a obsessive way though.
When both teams are playing, I have the Flames on TV and the Oilers on my laptop.
I hop from here to Twitter, to HF, to Reddit and am constantly looking for comments from crushed and broken fans. When I see something like: "I'm a long time fan am am now giving up.", the joy I experience is addictive. So I go looking for more. I feel like a horrible person because I'm feeding off their misery but it's just so amazingly satisfying. I truly can't get enough of it.
