it would be fine if he weren't scoring but still playing well defensively and drawing penalties. instead, he's not scoring and turning the puck over whenever he gets it. hopefully this drives his contract demands down

I see why everybody out east hates the pens.. The refs love them. High stick just let go. In the first the flames should be going on the power play after that dirty hit... Flip that around... Free goal. Hamonic call even was damned weak. Pens only have their 2 goals because of the refs

We’ve scored twice this period. It’s been all Pens the last few minutes because of a penalty but let’s not pretend they’ve dominated us all period. That’s simply not true.

Pens haven't tied it yet so we haven't earned a PP

Crosby's line making us look like the Oilers in our D zone. Flames need to wake the F up and start moving their damn feet.

And you have to wonder at this point if we'll ever get a PP in this game. Such garbage officiating.

Smith is actually looking like an NHL goaltender, no more forward flop every shot.

The Smith that left us after the break last season has returned. Maybe.

Not even close.

3 seconds to leave your zone and your 3 other skaters, from the top of the faceoff circle, to past the redline?L and then back, while the other team collapses down?

That's easily 10 seconds and the dynamics of the opponents PP changes significantly.
If you watched, Ryans presence forced passes around him, as he stayed in shooting lanes.
Ryan abandoning his teammates in the long change on the PK would've increased the chances of the goal significantly.

Lol the perfect tip was his fault because he didn't take a penalty? Good call.

And a bounce to The best player in the world who scores from an insane angle? You're batting 1000 today bud.

Man, the flames are so easily outmuscled in front of their own net. I’m really hoping Stone can recover and come back to give us a stronger D presence.

Kylington and Andersson have been good, but they just are not fully filled out size-wise yet. It’s been more noticeable as these games get tighter and tougher.

Need to shore up physicality if they want playoff success...
