Rats, Schnur was up 6-2 in the tie-breaker and had a sitter at 6-5 but pumped it into the net. Lorenzi takes the tie-breaker 9-7

Return and serve stats are up since the first set. He's just in dire need of a couple of big points to turn the match back around.

Schnur really battling in another tie-break. He's definitely not going quietly.
Full props to Denis thus far as well. His serve is looking fantastic this week and today it seems to be on as well.

This match is about as even as they come. My money is on Schnur in this third set though as his serve has been getting better as the match wears on.

Denis making some pretty basic tactical errors late in the set that cost him. He can't be hesitating on obvious approaches like that if he's going to beat someone like Stan (who is starting to look like the old stan).
Time to re-group and get after it. If his serve keeps going he should have a good chance at taking set 2.

Should he win, Schnur is certainly going to earn his semifinal appearance. At 2-2 in the 3rd, this match may hit 3 hours if this keeps up.
Edit: Schnur has really been getting into the 2nd serve of Lorenzi the last 1.5 sets. Sitting right around 50%, which should eventually give him a shot at breaking if he keeps it up.

Unnecessary aggression and an inconsistent serve that I was just applauding are yet again the culprit.
