Yeah, we're still in third place in the NHL after tonight and 12 points up on the wild card, and we're going to fall out. Oiler fans can be really stupid.

The delusion is strong over in Edmonton. From their OOT thread. This is why we never feel sorry for them. E=NG

Spector on Sportsnet yammering more Trump-like nonsense

Keith Gretzky is not just OBC, he's great at drafting
They need to keep their picks, as they've been doing a good job developing players under Keith.

Reality: name me one player you developed, and we'll start to move the needle a bit from 'absolutely worthless'

A journalist should not be worried about doing the Oilers PR

You are supposedly a professional why are you using stock iPhone headphones in one ear during a FaceTime tv interview. Get a pair of airpods you scrub so you can at least look half the part of someone who does this for a living instead of having your headphones dangling like a loser

Even though they have the facts wrong, it sums up their fanbase perfectly that they would rather be tumbling towards last place than fighting for a wildcard spot. They deserve everthing they get.

Ryan Rishaug @TSNRyanRishaug
Oilers had discussion with Markus Lehto, agent for Jesse Puljujarvi today. Team is open to trading him if a proper return can be found, and in the meantime an AHL stint to help boost offence and confidence is being considered. No decisions yet.

I'm going to make a bet that the offers for him are really low, at the end of the year his agent will tell the Oilers that he doesn't want a new contract from the Oilers and would rather play for a KHL team.

The Oilers quietly send him to Europe on a loaner agreement but Poolparty never returns.

There has been some speculation on the other board that Puljujarvi has a contract stipulation that requires his agent’s involvement in any decisions to play him in Bakersfield. The fact that an AHL stint is reported as”being considered” leads me to believe that there may be some truth to this. The Oilers suck at contracts almost as much as they suck at hockey.

its not like Puljujarvi has lit it up at the AHL level either. His confidence isn't coming back as long as he is part of that organization. still love his "Frankenberry" face though

With every Oiler's loss, Hughes and Kakko are shaking with fear of ending up in that talent graveyard.....

-Flames dropping fast! While we are prepping to hopefully draft Hughes the fLames are on trend to just fall out of a wildcard play-off spot-

Reading this reminded me of that Simpson’s episode where Shelbyville brags about beating Springfield in football nearly half the time.

It's actually 16 points up on the last wild card spot...

That's from his Spittin Chiclets interview a while back.

Between that and Glenn's appearance on hometown hockey or whatever it was a month or two ago, I've learned one thing. Nobody loves Glenn Anderson more than Glenn Anderson.

I think Puljujarvi is going to be moved in a cap dump type move (the team trading for him takes on Manning, Russell, or Spooner) for a return highlighted by a 2nd round pick.
