It was a tap-in off a centering pass, the exact sort of thing Brodie in his position there was meant to block.
Not only did he fail to do so, he didn't even look like he was trying properly to do so. And of course there was that nailing the linesman with a bullet first pass... kinda kicked off the whole sequence of events.

I noticed that too. Lazy play, trying to be fancy in the neutral zone again. He was trying to pass it through the legs. Johnny is elite when on fire but he still makes the odd play which just isn’t needed and leads to turnovers.

The Flames' defensive play since the All-Star break has been really concerning. Way too loosey goosey with the puck, and a lot of bad turnovers. Really hope they can clean that crap up down the stretch here. If they play D like that in the playoffs, we're done in the 1st round.

On the backend, I'd likely take out Rasmus Andersson. Peters would take out Kylington. They are great and all, but they are also rookies continually making rookie mistakes and its a big ask come playoff time.

Man, that’s a deflating goal after getting back in the game. Flames do need another top 6 player for them to really be considered a contender. Wouldn’t even mind putting Neal on the second line but he’s finally finding chemistry with the 3rd line. It’s not Frolik’s fault but he’s just not a top 6 player. Too many droughts from him to be relied upon to get points
