It's nice - he likes to cheer for former major league sports franchises.

How can you be a fan of a team that doesn't exist?
What do the Oilers, the Expos moving to DC, and spoilt milk have in common? The are all NO GOOD!

Well apparently they win a Stanley Cup every 8 years on average so this year must be a slam dunk for one.

This sounds terrible but I needed some context to be sure...
Flames' top 4 scorers: 104 goals
Rest of the team.......: 98 goals (more than the McTop4 even!)
Yup, as suspected... no good!

What kind of academic psychologist assesses the Oilers without using the term Groupthink?
Groupthink perfectly sums up and explains the Koskinen signing.
"illusion of invulnerability" (an inflated certainty that the right decision has been made).

Just make sure to tell him that his assessment was right on the button! We don’t actually want them to fix their groupthink.

Lack of depth scoring versus lack of top D men? How about both you jackass?
Funny how the headline indicates the fix is "simple" and that one needs to look deeper into the numbers and yet the author provided no meaningful numbers or actual ideas that would simply rectify the deficiencies.
The simplest explanation is easily E=NG.

Is it a sequel to Sudden Death (also produced by Baldwin)?

16. With Ken Hitchcock watching practice from the seats one day and then blasting the Oilers’ effort following Saturday’s 5–2 loss to San Jose, that there were rumours he’d had enough and would step down. That obviously didn’t happen, but it underlines how tense things are in Edmonton.
Giving Cam Talbot three straight starts made it look like he was being showcased to clear cap room, but the Oilers are having difficulty opening space for Andrej Sekera when he is ready to go.

Even Hitch can only stomach a short time with the oilers.

Wouldn't that be lovely?!

Honestly, as extensive as his resume is, it'd be pretty hard to be told about effort by someone who doesn't even hit the ice for practice.

Why? His job is to get the best out of his roster, not be on the ice.
I thought his sit-out of practice was a very intentional call-out to the players.
"If you're not going to put in effort then F-it. Neither am I. Bunch of losers. I came out of retirement for this?"
