What is it with the Bruins, they are addicted to overtime, It was the 5th time in 7 games and this time they beat the Avs 2-1 in OT. Marchand had 2 points including the GWG. The Avs lose for the 3rd straight time in OT. Both goalies, Halak and Varlomov, were solid in net. Both teams had perfect PK.
Excellent goaltending by Georgiev as he made 55 saves in the Rangers 4-1 win over the Leafs. He was simply the best Ranger in this game as the Leafs were 0 for 4 on the PP. Teh shots were 22-14 for the Leafs after the 1st period.
Cam Ward was the reason the Bhawks won 5-2 over the Red Wings. He made 43 saves in the win. Kahun and Strome each had 3 points as the Bhawks remain 4 points back of a playoff spot.
The Wild miss a chance to pull ahead of the western pack. They lost to the Islanders 2-1 in reg time. Toews with the GWG on the PP in the 2nd period.
The Hurricanes also missed a chance to get 8th place in the east as they lost to the Devils. Johansson with 2 goals and Hischier with 3a as they played spoilers.
Terrific 2nd period in the Blues-Predators game with 4 goals scored and 32 shots by both teams. The Blues take 4 points in the home/away series. Tarasenko scores hat trick with the GWG just 16 seconds into OT.
The Jets win 3-1 over the Sabres. Copp with a SHG and Wheeler scores the winner with just under 4 minutes in reg time. The Jets are right behind the Flames now with the Predators and Sharks in this 4 way scramble for 1st in the western conf.
The battle of Florida goes to the Lightning, they won 5-2. Domingue was in net for Tampa Bay and wins his 10th straight game. Great record for a back up goalie. Kucherov with 3 points.
