Instead of listening to a coach like Hitch and learning from him they are like you can't do that I'm telling my mom

That’s not a lot of games when there’s fewer and fewer teams below them. They do play Ottawa twice still though.

Is this what they mean when they say arguing amongst ourselves?

I'm pretty sure management determined it was the water and not the food.

Has anyone heard if they actually started looking for a GM?

Has anyone heard from Chiarelli since he left?

Water is code for booze. I picture Chia either sitting in a lounge chair like Milton from office space not being able to get his order right or the other side of the spectrum sitting alone in a tims unrolling a bunch of cups trying to win a car to drive out of Edmonton.

Hitchcock may not have created the two-tiered bench, but he perpetuated it. And now he has lost the room.

In other words as with the oilers, "much is given, but not earned!", The players don't have much to play for when the salaries are tied up in so few players. McDavid is probably not embraced as a leader among some players. Getting rid of Hall they were hoping the players would turn around and support McDavid but that hasn't translated well.

No. No, he would not. The cap dramatically limits the return in any such trade.

Not even trading McHobo can save the Edmonton Oilers.

Nothing can.

Nothing.

As part of the trade, Lucic must also packaged. They'd still have Drai to build a foundation around plus part of the return. Philadelphia would be an ideal trading partner.

There is zero chance that McDavid ,or any player, will ever get a Lindros type return in a cap world.

In fact, if you insist on tagging Lucic to that deal, it wouldn’t shock me if a number of teams simply took a pass at bidding as it’s simply not something that would make their team better. A smart GM might make a bid if he had a hit man on his speed dial to deal with Lucic.

teams would pay a ton for McDavid...for marketing as much as anything else

Oilers could easily make a deal that would make them a better team

I guess this is what Elliotte Friedman meant last night when he said "this is bad of biblical proportions" as Leon is not able to keep up with Kane.

That little GIF of Drai being blown past reminds me of a lot of previous Eberle "highlights". Just doing nothing at all without the puck, no defensive effort at all.

Leon and Mchobo have been put on such a pedestal in edmonton. even plays like this wont be judged. Instead one of their writers will talk about how Leon has more points than Malkin this year, cant recall which writer that was? he doesnt mention that Leon has almost no points without 97.
