The thing about that period is that with two fluke/bad goals, the Flames can say "let's just tighten it up and press and we can win". It's not like they have to feel like they were really outplayed. Even if they were.

Positive tonight is that I’ve thought Neal has looked great

Johnny giveaway into fluke 5hole goal from the blueline...awful Rittich
Bennett giveaway into Rittich coming out to blue line to get the puck and shot it right into a Shark and he scored.
Then just a wide open shark in front of the net gets a perfect tip on blue line shot and goes 5hole, not the goalies fault, unless it's Mike Smith, Which it was.
Thanks.

Sharks are blocking a lot of passes. Flames need to shoot more and hope they can pounce on rebounds.

It's not like Rittich typically does this. First time all year. Give him a break to see if he can find his game for the night.
Peters is a lot closer to the ice than we all are. He just didn't like what he was seeing, maybe even in the reaction to the goals.

As much as Rittich gets some benefit of the doubt, so does Peters.

He had to come out for that. It would have been a mistake not to. Just needed a better clearance.

Of course not. You let a vet with 553 nhl games try and figure it out, if he can.
You protect the kid with 53 starts, from hinself

Starting to hate the sharts more than the ducks. But it's always been close.

Hanifin seems a bit shaky tonight. Lots of pucks bouncing off and around his stick.

Sharks should be very worried about the Flames making this 3-2 right now

Are my eyes fooling me or is Jankowski playing wing tonight?

Because Rittich is the better goalie.
