Good luck in your career change!
Honestly I think this would be a waste of money. As an ex-management consultant, I have reviewed, and written many resumes over the years (we would tailor project experience to the project we were pitching for). A couple of basic principles I'd suggest:
Show attention to detail and rigor
- Keep it pithy readable: no longer than 2 pages, and lots of white space
- Make sure it's well formatted: Font, bullets, and paragraphs all uniform
No job is the same
- Take a good look at the job requirements, culture, and mission of the organization and tailor your resume accordingly. Use similar language to what they use, and highlight your attributes and experience as it most closely relates to what they need. Show you're a safe pair of hands. I'd argue that you should have a slightly different resume for each application. Don't lie though...
Happy to review a copy if you'd find it helpful.
All the best.
