Not sure how anyone can be surprised Brian Boyle is still around. He's been playing through cancer, won the Masterton, and played in the All-Star Game... and that's just with New Jersey.

A 2nd is not too high, especially a late second. Boyle has apparently mostly been playing the wing but he's a bottom six guy who has scored at least 13 goals for 5 straight seasons.

That's a good deal.

I don’t even think Boyle has played that much centre this year. More than a few people on Twitter bringing up the fact he has been playing LW most of the season.

Versatility brings extra cost, I’m sure.

Agreed but i think Poile is truly in the "cup or bust" mode and is going all-in this year.

He does make them much more difficult to play against for sure.

You're not getting a potential 20 goal scorer with size and enough skill to play special teams and any forward position for much less than that. He gives Nashville some added flexibility with so many injury concerns this season. They are also deep enough that losing a late second rounder isn't going to hinder them at all at this point of their trajectory.

Yeah, if I was a Predators fan I would be fine with the trade, but as a Flames fan I'm happy the Flames didn't trade a 2020 2nd for Boyle. The Flames can't afford to give away more draft picks unless it's for a higher return.

Well done to Boyle for not only still being a very, very serviceable player heading towards his 35th year of age but also for kicking cancer's ass.

Thought that cancer would've done him in but how wrong I was.

That 2nd round pick is worth it for the Preds to give up for him.

Apparently Nashville has called about Panarin as well. Although I’m sure many teams have, including us

You're not sure? There are 31 teams in the NHL, over 700 regular players, 800+ with call ups, injuries etc etc throughout a season. Maybe you're gonna lose track of one or two. Not sure how anyone can be so arrogant.

Whoa, slow your roll. I'm not trying to call anyone out... I get you really hate my posting but is it really necessary to respond to 85% of what I say?

Secondary assist on a lot of shots though, so there's that.

That's just what MMF does. So creepy.

Don’t you mean that other poster who appeared and disappeared after MMF was banned? What was their name again?
