And I think it shows how tight this group is. They are something special.
Regarding the Canes on ice celebration that has caused quite a bit of discussion, I think we should all learn to embrace our inner child every once in awhile. As adults, we quite often become way too serious and lose that ability to just sit back, chill out, and enjoy hockey for what it is...the greatest game on earth.
And I love the trumpet guy too. So I guess it just show, to each their own. Have fun folks. Life goes by too quickly to be grumpy all the time.

Flames fans should start doing it every time Lindholm scores.

That would be awesome but it would take some coordination and the flames don't spend money on that. Also, from responses in here it looks like the flames have lots of act like you've been there type fans. I don't imagine it'll catch on as they would prefer us give the players a subtle nod... Lol
In all seriousness this should be a thing. Nashville's atmosphere didn't happen "organically". They've spent lots of time and energy to build that kind of atmosphere... Basically what Carolina is trying to do now.

I'm not sure about Neil. I think he may be done at this point, it's been 50 games now. He's not a liability but he is certainly not an asset. So many missed opportunities. I guess the Flames couldn't trade him at this point but maybe move him on the 4th and find someone else to replace him on the 3rd.

Neal is firmly cemented in as a 3rd line RW like it or lump it for at least the rest of the year and most likely next year as well. He’s playing markedly better hockey right now and to me seems poised to score in bunches down the stretch here which would be huge. If anything I’d like to see a bigger name 3rd line Center to play with Neal/Bennett which would push Janks down to the 4th line left wing taking strong side draws with Ryan which would hammer home just how deep this team is.

I don't think you rack up 2.2 shots per game if you're "done". We've seen this story.
2015-16 Nazem Kadri shot 4.9% in his first 45 games. Shot 9.2% the rest of the season.
2017-18 Michael Frolik shot 4.5% in the final 38 games of last season. He's now shooting a ridiculous 16.2% this season despite being a career 8% shooter.
So far Neal has shot 4.4%. It's just too low to be meaningful. He's getting chances and he's getting shots. He's a career 12%+ shooter. Missed opportunities suck in the moment - but they are opportunities. Which is far more encouraging than no opportunities.

Well said! I was at the game, was treated with class by the Carolina fans. I thought Lindholm was just showing the fans some acknowledgement. Not only are some people too serious, they make to many assumptions.

That celebration by Lindholm was awesome. No harm in having a bit of fun with the crowd you used to play in front of. But leave it to fans to cry a river over it, when they literally booed the guy multiple times. Fans can be stupid hypocrites, and those Canes' fans proved themselves to be as such.
One thing was pathetic about what Lindholm did, and it wasn't what the player did. Going online swinging your internet keyboard sword is one of the most pathetic things people do in the world we live in these days. People say the game needs more personality and player storylines. Players do that, and fans cry about it.
Those people whining need to suck it up. Heck, I find it amusing when an opposing player do it to our fanbase. It ratchets up the intensity and gives you reason to hate the opponent and root that much harder for the home team. Nothing wrong with that.

I celebrate Flames goals by quietly sipping some slightly chilled Taylor Fladgate.

Looks like we found Brian Burke's CP account.
I don't mind the celebration, atleast a team in a struggling market is making something happen out of it.
