Odds on Gronk retirement? He's got one year left at 9 million, but he's never spent any of his money so it's not really a concern for him.

I suspect he wants a signing bonus.
He could be camp fodder easily and likely signed to a practice roster. If you are on a practice roster all season you get 130k which while not the money he gets in the cfl is likely worth it to chase a dream.
So at a minimum I see practice roster not sure if you call that an NFL contract or not.
I don’t think he is successful though. The accuracy required in the CFL is a lot lower because of the larger field. He has the arm strength but I don’t think he has the precision. That said he’s better than the guy the Ravens player in the playoffs.

Some really odd opening lines there.
Obviously public money has jumped on the Browns story a bit as there is zero reason they should be favored over 4 playoff teams from this year.
I hate the Seahawks but....40-1?

Bo wont sign without some guaranteed money (signing bonus) IMO.
He will make 400K here and play and make a bit more on endorsements etc. He has one child and another on the way. Security is way more important now than chasing a dream if he is being practical.
From all accounts he and Maddie love the city, so i dont see location being an obstruction.
IF he is offered a 500K signing bonus and a contract, even at league minimum, and is thinking he has a chance to make the team he is signing with, then he does so. If not? He is back in cowtown.
I think we find out by this Friday.

40/1 is too high, with Schottenheimer as their OC 400/1 is probably too high. And the NFC is brutal unlike the AFC where we probably have five teams locked into a playoff spot next year.

I think teams will be able to plan better against KC and LAR. They have seen how to beat them ,what their weaknesses are, and lastly there wont be any surprises.
The Pats should remain odds on faves until they prove otherwise.

Chiefs will continue to be a force, Rams appear to have been shown to be frauds. Goff is more of a system WB than Mahomes, he looked liked the Fisher era Goff again. Rams went all in with short terms deals and the such too I believe, they’ll lose some big pieces of that defence and come back down a bit I’d think.
I’m interested to see if Chicago can keep Mitchell progressing and how their defence reacts with Fangio gone.

????
They literally scored a minimum of 26 points in every single game (including 24 in the last 15 minutes of their season). So unless "figuring them out" means "hoping their defense continues to suck", Chiefs actually only have room to get better.

Lol, ok.
These lists are stupid because everyone knows the Patriots are going to win.

Safe to assume they don't even have to have a great season to wrap up a home playoff game relatively easy. Playing in the AFC East certainly has its advantages.
Buffalo Bills: 66/1
New York Jets: 66/1
Miami Dolphins: 100/1

The Cincinnati Bengals have hired Los Angeles Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor as their head coach, the team announced Monday.
The Bengals homed in on Taylor several weeks ago, but they could not hire him until the Rams were eliminated from the playoffs. Los Angeles advanced to Super Bowl LIII and lost 13-3 to the New England Patriots on Sunday.
Taylor, 35, will be the second-youngest coach in the league behind his former boss, 33-year-old Sean McVay. Taylor, the 10th head coach in Bengals history, is expected to hire Oakland Raiders quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan, 34, as his offensive coordinator.

I do believe that a DC somewhere in the league will 'figure' Mahomes out next season. Either his passing progression or his tendencies when he's hurried, etc.
I think that is what he's getting at.

Yeah but what makes him unique is you can't really figure him out. You can play a perfect defensive play and his ability alone can neutralize it. The Pats "figured him out" for three quarters, then he just drops 24 in one quarter. He's like any QB, pressure him, make him uncomfortable and they don't do as well. But the difference is he has the talent to do anything so you can't really ever "figure him out". At the same time he might simply be worse next year because he is such a talent that he takes huge chances because he can make impossible throws. Maybe next year a couple of those throws are picks instead of catches. But he's always going to be impossible to figure out.

Doesn't the hype remind you of Kapernick a bit?
He looked like a world beater and the DCs adjusted.
That is the point I'm making.
