Does anyone remember Robbie Alomar with the tomahawk chop after a world series homerun vs the Braves in Atlanta? At the time I was pretty damn excited he did that.
As for Lindholm, well it would make for a helluva rivalry but these teams will never meet in the playoffs.

Where do I fix this because for some reason my iPhone seems to be setup to see the ad which like you say, makes the forum effectively unusable. Somebody please help me.

From Sportsnet:

My name came up twice on the JumboTron and I got booed, so that was a nice way to end it," Lindholm said. "I was surprised. I tried to play hard here for five years and got booed. It is what it is. It was nice to end it that way.

Not the end of the world though, not a huge thing, just saying I would have preferred he wouldn't do it if I was a Flames fan.

It's emotion...they booed him all game and he was also hit after the horn by butt hurt Hamilton.
Rittich did it too lol
Reading the ATL some of their fans were even happy it was mocked

Counterpoint: Bennett seems to be carrying Jankowski(and Neal) to respectability despite how much Janko has struggled
Bennett-Jankowski-Neal
50.43% CF
55.56% SCF
55.51% HDCF
Janko has struggled without Bennett on his wing:
48.97% CF
49.39% SCF
44.27% HDCF
and Ryan seems to be leading his wingers to being a solid 4th line
Mangiapane-Ryan-Hathaway
50.20% CF
50.16% SCF
55.20% HDCF
Hathaway has been brutal without Ryan:
45.80% CF
44.17% SCF
36.16% HDCF
while Mangiapane has been unsuccessful when saddled with Jankowski
Mangiapane-Jankowski-X
49.23% CF
45.35% SCF
37.45% HDCF
basically our bottom 6 as it stands is outchancing opponents and breaking even on shot attempts. That is our best bet at letting the top 6 be the primary difference makers.
Do I think the third line has issues? yes, but I've been beating the "Sam Bennett to 3C" drum since November. I would like to see what Mangiapane-Bennett-Neal and Jankowski-Ryan-Hathaway can do. I don't think Mangiapane-Jankowski-Hathaway is a line that will work.

Who cares. They were booing him certain parts of the game, this Flames team has some major swag this year and I love it!

Agreed with this. Also important to note. The hurricanes under new ownership had a directive after season ticket holder sessions: Stop giving out free tickets, make games more fun to come to.
So they have many games in the 14-17k range after the past few seasons of 8-11k games because they've been working really hard to make the in game experience more engaging and exciting for the casual and hardcore fan alike.
To have this level of ticket sale success after slowing down discounts and give aways incredible, imo and what they're doing to achieve that shouldn't be mocked.
We come off as so prudish as Canadian hockey fans, sometimes.

Great sequence of events with the Lindholm celebration:
Lindy celebrating with Rittich:
Lindy celebrating while getting booed:
Neal losing his #### as Lindholm celebrates amidst the boos:
Rittich and Chucky hug, then Rittich gives one more Skol clap

Yep, this. Some people take sports too seriously. Especially when we're watching from a hockey mad market towards a non hockey market doing what it can to attract fans.

I think some people are putting way too much value on what a contrived celebration does to bring fans to the game.
Blatantly artificial attempts at creating atmosphere will always get mocked. We did it with the Canucks "woooo" crap, and we'll do it with this. Dumb is dumb.

An article on it:

Seems like a feel good story to me
Hell I wish the dome had more atmosphere
Dumb is dumb? Naw. Fun is fun

If Elias played for the Bombers and he did that at the end of a game at New Mosaic Stadium, I have a feeling White Out would take no issue with it.

The Dome does suck, but I'd rather we react to the play, goals and wins than rip off some cheer and pretend we're unique.

How could that possibly be something to complain about?
