I’d be happy to have Mrazak as our backup goalie after the trade deadline.

This is acceptable.
The lightning have a backup with a .809 winning percentage, that is fantastic. Most teams do not seem to have such a huge difference between their starter and their backup. That being said a bad backup goalie for this team will not drag them out of the playoffs .

There is definitely some salty feelings
That was an especially awkward interview as Leslie was clearly trying to joke with him but he was busy being too cool.

Dougie defenitely being lame there. Made him look like a chump. Leslie clearly trying to lighten up the interview.

Some of you are full of ####...if the Flames were in 9th place and played duck duck goose after a win you wouldn't think it was "fun"

we would be ####ing embarrassed and deserve a mocking from other teams

Huh? The 'Canes don't suck. They'd be comfortably in a playoff spot in the west, and could still make it even in the east.

They're no contender, but they're a middle of the pack team (17th in league) that plays a pretty entertaining brand of hockey.

9th place, what an awesome team...more losses than wins

they should do something to celebrate that achievement

comfortably in the West? newsflash all those bottom teams in the west suck...they have two more points than the Canucks

Two things.

1. Why is there so much talk about our #9 D-man? He had to play tonight and did fine all things considered. We get it, his game is far from complete, that’s why he’s 9th on the depth chart.

2. I can’t stand tgat the hyperbole around here literally makes me feel compelled to defend Smith, but it’s just so rediculous. For starters, we need to stop considering his full season stats as far as evaluating his place on the team moving forward and what the Flames should do with at the deadline. He was god awful to start the year, for sure cost us multiple games. That’s done, over, no getting those pints back. But this notion that he almost needs to b all world now to make up for the first part of his season is silly. It won’t happen and his stat line will forever be impacted by what he did in those games. But let’s look at his performance more recently, in his last 10, starts after it’s become clear Rittich is the number one. Far improved in all categories, much better than “worst goalie with 20 plus”, and from my perspective better than average back up goaltending. If Tre has a deal tgat could improve our goaltending duo, please by all means, but Smiths play of late certainly doesn’t suggest he should sell the farm to do it.

A lot of passionate Canes keyboard warrior fans. Most of them in the arena are dressed like red seats.

I have no problem with the Canes celebration BUT if they are going to do that after a win they can’t be butt hurt if another team comes in and makes fun of them for it if they lose.

No problem with Lindholm doing that. They were booing him, and they traded him, it’s not like he asked for a trade or left as a UFA.

I'm surprised he was even made available for the interview. He obviously didn't want to do it.

Haha, we win and we are the top team in the West, 2nd team in the entire league, win a good road game and have competent goalie in the net... why so much complaining about a little bit of taunting.

It is great and full of emotion. No way he does that if this team isn't where they are. The Canes fans boo'd him all game, I seriously don't see a problem with this. It doesn't hurt anyone and I am sure most of us laughed at the sight, those of us who know about the Canes post game win celebration.

It wasn't a perfect game but we won, again with Rittich in net, please stop playing Smith unless it is a back to back. Great game by the former Canes, loved that they were so invested and performed how they did today.

Oilers lose again and it is time for super bowl! So far a fun Sunday.

ATL will be golden.

Not the prettiest game. But we got the two points. February games are never perfect. Love Lindholm.

My favourite part about the Flames is that they have 10 forwards on pace for either 10 goals or 30 points.

Gaudreau - 44 goals, 115 points
Monahan - 42 goals, 96 points
Lindholm - 36 goals, 93 points
Tkachuk - 37 goals, 88 points
Backlund - 21 goals, 48 points
Frolik - 20 goals, 33 points
Jankowski - 13 goals, 32 points
Bennett - 14 goals, 31 points
Ryan - 8 goals, 30 points
Hathaway - 11 goals, 15 points

For the record, Neal is on pace for 8 goals and 20 points. Even still... depth.
