Bad penalty with 2 min. left - just get it to OT Flames, you were being outplayed. Get the point.

Sammy McBennett no more - is he to blame?

Smith needs to be lashed to the net with rope. Him never leaving the net would literally be better than the antics he finds himself in behind the net

I'm looking forward to watching the Islanders or Penguins bounce the Caps in the first round.

Sucks to lose a close one, still 6 pts above the Sharks so you can’t be that mad. I look forward to seeing Rittich on Sunday

I don't understand. No consistency. Call nothing for a long time then suddenly make nothing calls out of the blue. Why ruin a tightly contested tie game that you let every thing go in the first 30 minutes by making a soft call with two minutes left?

Good emotion at the end. Flames could have won tonight. I expect them to play with extra jam on Sunday.

Obviously sucks the Flames lost, but can we take a moment to appreciate this meme being used for a loss after a big run of wins/points versus years past where it was used in wins coming off of horrendous losing skids. It's refreshing.

Only bad one was the 3rd......blocker side shot after a terribad giveaway by Chucky. Should have had that one.

Playoffs are going to have highs and lows so deal with it.

We need some added toughness to deal with dirtbags like Wilson.

Yup and that's my fear come playoffs. In the off season I kept hearing people talk about how neal is a SOB to play against, I don't think I've seen that yet this year.

The Flames are in a very important battle for first in the division. These points matter, even if they’re having a great season. Especially if the game was winnable.

I'm sorry, I didn't really this was the "mid-season summary" thread. I thought it was the post game thread for discussing the good and bad and joyful frustrations of tonight.

Smith is exactly why we lost

you can argue the 1st or 2nd but that soft 3rd on Smith was the difference in why we lost this by one

Rittich would not have let that 3rd in and would've had is in OT

I always thought it was an accident, but after tonight I fully believe Backstrom took performance enhancing drugs on purpose before the gold medal game in 2014.
