That's why I said to include oilfan and sympathy nicknames along with the obvious rivalry versions.

I'm fine with Oil fans calling Johnny whatever they like, particularly when he is outscoring their Savior at half the price.
Don't need to tell me. I don't know if any of my group of long-life friends call each other by their given names as everyone has a nickname or two or three. It almost feels strange to address them properly. I'm not condemning anyone that wants to call him a name. For whatever reason I have never really gone the nickname route in sports for opposing players.

My favourite is McDiver, and I was fairly surprised not to see it posted yet as it was a fairly common name on here when he got fined

Agree with Estrada.

Some of these nicknames are pretty witty though. The absolute worst term people use are 'Coilers' or 'Can-sucks / Ca-sucks'. Those are completely embarrassing.

Collar McBroken will always be the best, but it's a bit dated now..McLotteryballs makes me laugh too, interesting I think Ryan Pinder came up with both of those ones..or at least was the first person I heard say those..maybe we should ask him, he's good at it.

ok, I agree but I like using Can'tucks. Even my Canuck fan friends think it is funny. And the I get the ok "Lamer" or "Lames Fan". Nothing wrong with cute nick names for each other.

I said coilers the other day and my son wasn't sure what it meant in terms of hockey, so I explained and he thought it was really funny because Edmonton is no good.

I kinda like McDangles for the simple fact that it starts with McD and isnt just Mc thrown in front of random words.

I find it hilarious my 65 year old mother calls him McJesus so I'll go with that.

I was thinking of names for the city of Edmonton. How about Loserville, Mullet Town, Greaserville, Sweatpantopolis, Urine City One, We Have a Mall, or Stank upon North Saskatchewan?

I like McCrossover and Goner McTraded. Those are pretty good ones.

Trouble with McJesus is that's what his actual fans in Edmonton call him.
