Be careful with the 16gb of storage unless it's just going to be used for Facebook/websurfing/etc. Loading it up with music or movies will chew that storage up in no time.

Fo shizzle. I never really worry about storage as it's usually very easy to expand with a quality SD card.
And ya, I always forget about Visions too
**edit**
Woh, hold on, no expansion slot. Gotcha. Ya, that aint going to work.

Yeah, I was going to say that I couldn't see an SD slot, but wasn't sure. Bummer.

How bad are the pop-up ads on your android devices? I 'upgraded' from an older iphone to a Pixel 3 and I'm now inundated with pop-up ads that interfere with all the regular apps. It's relentless, two, three, sometimes four in a row. All of which have to be clicked though. Most of these appear to be delivered from google play and AVG anti-virus (which itself appears to be thinly-disguised up-sell thing). A I some sort of android Luddite to expect that this is excessive? The Apple device was 1/10th as intrusive. Thoughts?

Think you may have a rouge app running in the background.

Yeah, that's not normal for any phone. Do these pop-ups happen while on the home screen or inside a specific app?

Next time you get a pop-up hit the Overview button at the bottom. It's a square icon and should pop up a list of open or recently used apps, the app that displays first will be the one causing the pop-ups. Uninstall whatever that is and the issue should go away

Was this Pixel new or used? You shouldn't have any ads popping up. I sure don't. That would fast track it to the wood chipper for me.

Consider trying the wood chipper suggestion last.

Great advice. This step will be preceded by a significant amount percussive maintenance.

S9+ - ads on Calgary Puck via Google Ads preventing from selecting any thread unless it's half down the page.
Selecting the ad and returning to the page doesn't work. Closing page or reloading doesn't work. No recent changes. Occurs on Chrome.
Any suggestions on how to get rid of? It's an ad that is vertical and completely down the side of the page. And yes no X anywhere.

That has been happening on everyone's phones, including on iPhones on Safari. Not sure if it has been fixed yet, but it doesn't seem related to Android, Chrome or Samsung.

Using Tapatalk would be a workaround, but I have issues with threads not loading.

just came across this today...any apps on your phone that might be something like the ones listed here?
Google Play apps with >4.3 million downloads stole pics and pushed porn ads

Have had my Samsung S7 for three years now and decided it was time to upgrade. Came down to the Pixel 3 XL or the Mate 20 Pro. After a couple weeks of research I pulled the trigger on the Huawei. Love the Twilight colour and pretty much everything else about it. Charges ridiculously fast and has a huge battery. Camera setup is pretty awesome too, my favourite photography type is macro and this thing is pretty decent at it. Just got it today so will take time to get used to it but so far so good.
