Johnny (and Bill) at the All Star Weekend

Johnny is in San Jose for his 5th straight All Star Game appearance. Peters is there for the first time. Thursday was the media day for the All Stars.
I like that his family makes sure he knows they like visiting him during the All Star weekend, so he has to play his best. Cute picture of his niece saying hi to Uncle John.

The Skills competition goes Friday night with the ASG itself on Saturday. It sounds like Johnny will go from spending his time on the same line as a Swedish guy named Elias to spending his time on the same line as a Swedish guy named Elias.

Sportsnet's coverage of the Skills competition starts at 6:00pm Friday night, but the Skills competition doesn't actually start until 7:30pm.

		| Johnny Gaudreau wanted to light his stick on fire. With due respect to all of the players in Flames history who actually accomplished things at the NHL All-Star Game, we have to take this moment to acknowledge something that didn't happen: Flames rookie Johnny Gaudreau in 2015, getting rebuffed by NHL lawyers after seeking permission to light his stick on fire during the skills competition. "Since we played for the Flames, I want to light it on fire," Gaudreau said at the game. "I think it was a player safety concern. I really don't know exactly why." | |

This is going to be fun to watch. It’s so much better than it would have been watching him on McHobo’s line.

I'll bet him and Pettersen outscore McDoofus and his line.
There will be dangles a-plenty to be sure.

It's actually amazing to watch him do media interviews now, compared to the first few years in Calgary. He's gotten so much more comfortable!
