Flames fan all the way, the only thing I like about Edmonton is how easy they are to make fun of. Being from Winnipeg allows me to appreciate the literal bunghole like atmosphere as it is exactly the same in Deadmonton.

you have no reason but being a mafia follower to vote for me so I am calling you on it.
They were all pretty clear that they voted for you because you weren't participating and wanted you to step it up, which has happened in most games here. I know you're new but this is pretty reactionary post and you follow it up with 'you're only voting for me because you're a mafia follower'.

If any of the vets were to throw out that defense it would be a rather large red flag to me. I'm not sure if this is a case of being new, or this is a bit of panic from an Oilers fan but I think it's worth keeping an eye on.

Scornfire why did you vote for WinnipegFan? You gave him a vote with no reasoning.

I'm leaving my vote on Scornfire. All his posts are fluff, if he is new he hasn't asked any questions, then he jumps on the WinnipegFan vote train with no explaination why.

All I'm hearing is how we need to have 5 votes on someone or we're going to have a problem come Thursday. Also, just sort of roleplaying. Kind of disappointing how meta this whole thing has been

Just a thought too, at 10 with my vote game, that could be 2 votes on someone, and a potential pile on so we could hit majority then, so I'm not sure if the vote is that high on anyone right now, but it is something to be aware of.

If no one takes me up on it, I'll try to get a vote in by noon(if work allows) so I won't be floating around as a non-voter.

I will leave my vote for now as WinnipegFan is not in any danger of being lynched, good to see him responding. If we can come to a consensus on who to lynch I will change my vote then. This game seems tougher because normally it is the same experienced players but with those new to the game it makes it harder to get a read. Are they playing the way they are because they are trying to learn or are they hiding behind the newbie card to protect their greasy asses? It is a pretty good bet at least one is doing exactly that.

No takers! So that tells me the Greasers are either to busy crying about their sucky team and were distracted by the presser, or that they are playing passive right now. No one wanted to stick their neck out. Fair enough. Now to figure out my vote...

Scornfire never said whether he's played before, but using the term "meta" in 2 separate posts leads me to believe that he has gamed in the past. He's keeping pretty low and jumped on the WF vote without and reasoning.

My vote for crazy_eoj was to see what reaction I got... and I got what I perceive as a revenge vote. Not very strategic if he were a greaseball.

getting a read on the newbies hasn't been easy so far. With WinnipegFan and Fuzz I'm leaning towards inexperienced townies right now. Bonded and crazy_eoj ... no idea.

Scornfire and agulati are the ones I have mixed feelings about so far. Since WinnipegFan has come in and chimed in, I'll remove my vote for now. I'll certainly vote for someone before going to bed tonight though (should be between 3 and 4 pm for you guys).

oh and can we get clarification from Oling whether he'll be strict about votes/unvotes standing on its own? Maybe I remember it wrong but I think we used to include votes in longer posts.

Not sure if there is much in admitting it but I am new to mafia. Still trying to figure out the best way to play the game.

I do like mrkajz idea that one of the scum would have piled on to Winnipeg Fan. I will switch my vote to agulati. Seems like he knows the game and tried to slip in a vote on an early bandwagon

I'm not a fan of having to have the votes in a separate post. With votes/unvotes going on, it kind of skews the vote count. Just look above to Bonded. He gets 3 posts for what could have been just one.
I know... I'm being kind of nit-picky ;P

I still stand by my earlier statement saying that I don't think a poster who has less posts will be a mafia.

It was just a ploy to get Winnipegfan to contribute to the discussion. As he has done so, I am withdrawing my vote for him for the time being.
So after I voted agulati, this was the response and I actually think it's pretty reasonable. The vote against Winnipegfan was to try and get some response out of him, and Winnipeg delivered with some posts. agulati accordingly dropped his vote.

So I ask myself, if he was the only Oiler on the vote, would dropping this vote be a good idea? I'm assuming there was only one Oiler out of the four that had votes on Winnipeg, so if agulati is actually an Oiler, then they'd have zero votes on Winnipeg - not sure that is a fantastic strategy as the banning deadline is starting to approach. I'm not totally convinced at this point, so my vote stays for now. However, furthering my thoughts that there was one Oiler out of the four and agulati acting like a Flames fan with a reasonable explanation, my radar is buzzing a bit more for Scorn. He hasn't talked a ton of game yet, so we'll see where that goes, as there is little to get a read on him so far.

Pux - I was just thinking the same thing. However, I don't mind the voting being in a separate post as I suspect it makes things much easier for Oling to tally the votes (the search function shows the first line of a post, so making the whole post a vote allows a quick search gets all the votes quickly).

I have no game, and it seems foolish to over analyze literally everything at step 1 so I'm pretty much just going to vote whatever way gets us a ban before the deadline. Or maybe just vote for the most annoying poster at this point, which is a pretty hotly contested race

Do you have more information than us that allows you to make this assumption.
