Maybe Hitch can take an acting role while coaching. Whoever takes the job, good luck. The team is a mess. No prospects, no cap space, no good value trade assets and currently on pace for bottom 5 in the league.
In all honesty, even if they wanted to trade 97, what do they get back with the contract he has in a capped league?

You guys are way too stuck in the 80s. We have to adjust our timeline now. We haven't completely exhausted the 80s talent BUT there is A LOT of late 90s early 2000s Oiler Alum waiting in the wings as well. Does Ryan Smyth get a phone call? What about Doug Weight? Maybe even a Steve Staios? Let's not limit ourselves to the Cup "Dynasty".

Exactly. It went over badly so they'll blame it on Chia but there's no way you let a guy decide on your number 1 goalie and then fire him one day later.
