Would there really be? Thankfully it appears the UFA talent at Forward is pretty high this year which may drive some of these prices down, of course a lot of these guys still have a chance and will get signed but at the moment you're looking at..

Forward UFA’s ahead of Ferland:
Panarin, Pavelski, Skinner, Lee, Stone, Duchene, Zuccarello, Hayes

Forward comparable UFA's with Ferland:
Simmonds, E Staal, Silfverberg, Eberle

Nope, he likely gets a Neal type deal as he's still young.

Not sure if it was the same season but Jokinen came back to Calgary pretty quickly.

Not for what he would cost next season am I even slightly interested and only as a rental if someone significant gets injured. Not looking to mess with this teams chemistry.

From that list who will actually be available. Once you filter that, his age and playing style (power forward) will make him more desirable and up there for available players.

The rotating door at 4LW would be a perfect place to put Ferland, no injury needed. He's a huge upgrade over any of the kids that have been playing that role.

Ferland-Ryan-Hathaway

Yup, that'll work.

So he could throw stupid money at a different UFA? With concussion issues?

Before I am off the Neal train he gets a post season to prove his worth. I could care less about his regular season this year if the real Neal shows up for the post season.

All the ones that aren't signed by the deadline with the exception of Pavelski and Lee probably. Also I wouldn't take age into being a huge factor for a rental personally.

I for 1 was excited about Neal when he signed, thought the money was ok. Still may work out well.

Islanders said they're going to be buyers so don't see Eberle on the move. Agree with the rest though

The TSN guys are saying that Pittsburgh is looking to add Ferland to Crosby's wing.

If the Flames are just looking to add him to the 4th line, the Pens will easily outbid them.

Could squeeze it in of they get a Treliving special done with Tkachuk and trade stone and Frolik.

Not likely but not impossible

That makes sense. But that's the only spot that he would slot in my opinion.

I guess what I'm saying is that I wouldn't be willing to pay a whole lot.

So what do you guys think the most the flames should pay to get him?
 A first rounder? Two seconds?

So happy Ferly is considered such a hot commodity. Sad to see him leave but I hope he has an awesome career, in Calgary or otherwise (except Mulletville).
