Thought Neal had a pretty good game. Almost a couple real nice setups and almost a goal on the pp.
Love that Gaudreau scored the first goal - Edmonton hates him so much.
And I loved that little slide of the hand by Monnie down his stick so he could control the second shot on his goal.
It's still baffling with all the offence on this team that Neal's point totals are so low this year. Even tonight, Backlund had a goal and an assist. Frolik had an assist. Somehow Neal avoided getting a point. It's not like Brouwer who seemed to be sucking away the offence. Neal actually does a lot of things right, but just can't get into the scoreboard.

16 min mark for Peters post game.
LOL at Hitchcock saying McDavid was the best player on the ice tonight. He seems like a nice guy but I think he's actually a little delusional if he really believes that.

Nothing in the regular season is as good as beating the oilers. I find it ridiculous all the talk of the oilers dominating the flames for a long time. They've been 8-4 over two years after the flames destroyed them for a decade before that, they pretty much swept the season series a couple times when it was 7 or 8 games. Also... Man hitch is a shill with his talk about how good they did. I guess he can't admit the oilers are brutal but hope he doesn't believe it. He definately gives off the vibe he was an old school hard ass back in the day though. Not getting the sense he was a players coach.
Oilers having the interview in a bar post-game, great call geniuses.
Props to Hitch on how much he has slimmed down though, for real.
Can't be easy to keep it off coaching this team either.

Kypreos: Gaudreau complains too much about penalties and it looks bad and the refs don't like it.
Also Kypreos: McDavid should complain about penalties and the refs will respect him for it.
AC should splice together clips of him talking out both sides of his mouth and we can make him watch it Ludovico style. That way I can hear him heave and puke during the intermissions... it would be much more enlightening than what he does now.

Here's the thing about Kypreos--I've said this to many of my friends and teammates over the past several years:
I don't understand how TSN can turn Matt Dunigan into a semi-eloquent speaker on their panel while Kypreos has shown exactly zero improvement during his long stint on Sportsnet. The number of cringe-worthy moments that he creates wherein the rest of the panel sits in stunned silence at whatever's just come out of his mouth are innumerable at this point.
And also, I despise his nickname. There is only ONE Kipper (regardless of spelling).
